MAJOR TAYLOR'S CYCLING LEGACY INSPIRING A NEW GENERATION

I'm not much of a cognac drinker, but I've had my fair share of Hennessy in my day.  My memories of Hennessy don't typically involve nights of wonderful black history discovery, which is why, a recent discovery of Hennessy's short brand content piece, titled "The Six Day Race: The Story of Marshall "Major" Taylor" really struck a chord.  For those like me, who didn't actually know who Major Taylor is most known for being the second black world champion of any sport, which is even more notable considering his feat was accomplished in the late 1800s and in the sport of cycling for that matter.  When's the last time you recall rooting for your favorite black man in Tour De France?  Or even hearing of cycling in your own community?  Not often for most of us B Dads, but Major Taylor's story has spurred momentum in the sport of cycling within the black community - most noticeably with Major Taylor Cycling Clubs popping up all over the country, most notably here in Chicago - http://www.majortaylorchicago.com/.  Cycling's proven to be a great, low impact way for men to keep in shape.  And with clubs like the Major Taylor Cycling Clubs, it's also a great way to meet and connect with other likeminded B dads.  Check out the Major Taylor Chicago Club or any club in your city.  Also take a look at the Hennessy story of Major Marhall's 6 Day Race.  Absolutely epic story of triumph and athletic prowess that's sure to make any B Dad feel inspired.
