MOM AND DAD ARE FIGHTING - A FUN AND THOUGHTFUL PODCAST FOR TODAY'S PARENT

I won’t pretend to be a big Slate fan, but admittedly they’ve struck a nerve with their Mom and Dad are Fighting podcast. The podcast is hosted by a diverse cast of Carvell Wallace, Gabriel Roth, and Rebecca Lavoie. These guys cover everything from teens on Tinder, the hell of Facebook parenting groups, to lying toddlers. It’s an honest, funny, and relatable podcast for parents today’s parents. In this episode, the crew discusses a number of culturally relevant topics, but one in particular stood out for me as a BDad - what happens when your 5 year old is teased about his race at school. How do we as parents have this conversation not just with the kids, but with our non black parent friends or parent community. I won’t spoil the stories for you, but check out this latest version of Mom and Dad are Fighting - have a laugh, learn something new, and feel better about this week’s “parentingfails.
