The Nod is great podcast produced by Gimlet Media and hosted by two pretty cool black hosts - Brittany Luse and Eric Eddings (a young black father living in New York City).  They explore everything from the origination of Chicago's Moo & Oink to Lisa Bonet's impact on black culture to this - an episode on Kenan ThompsOn's chances of winning an Emmy award.  If you don't know who Kenan is, you may recall him from a few places.  As a kid I watched him on Nickelodeon's Kenan and Kel - a hilarious take on kid humor and really, a first for black youth.  You may also recognize him from Saturday Night Live, where he's been a staple since 2003.  At home, I actually dread watching Kenan on SNL.  He seems to bring out and even celebrate every stereotype about black culture and I'm not much of a fan, which is why - when I saw Brittany and Eric release an episode on why Kenan should win an Emmy, I had to listen!  In typical form, these two make you see the world in new shades and with new perspective.  They've got a few gems of perspective on why Kenan, a long time TV vet who has apparently starred in some of TV's top programming throughout the duration of his career, should finally win top honors on September 17th when the 2018 Emmy winners are announced.  Hope you enjoy.
