KANSAS CITY CHIEF'S COACH FINDS HIS DAD...45 YEARS LATER

Many of us B Dads have a solid sense of who our parents are, where we're from, what our birth stories are, etc... Even if our fathers aren't in our lives, we have these fundamental understandings.  Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for NFL Chief's coach Deland McCollough - a proud and successful father of 4 young boys - who was adopted at birth.  ESPN's E:60 program tells Deland's story of his search for his biological parents - a journey that has lasted for more than 40 years.

While Deland spent most of his life wondering about his history, it wasn't until his first born son came into his world that questions like, "why is he so tall", or "why do we both have the same eyes", all those questions we ponder when we have kids, came to bear.  This experience, combined with an unstable presence of men in his life as a young child, really drove Deland to a curiosity about his birth parents, particularly his dad.  What he discovered on his journey, is one of the most emotionally striking stories of a father and son, I've ever seen or read.  A true inspirational story of the everlasting connection between and father and his son - even if they both lived 45 years not knowing of each other and their connection.
